GREETINGS

People always ask me, “How’s the market?”  As promised, here’s the latest statistics just released from the Northwest Multiple Listing Service.

MY THOUGHTS

Homes are still being listed and it is mid summer. Sellers have to be priced slightly under the current market price to get activity as buyers are looking for deals.  346 homes are currently on the market.

56 homes are in pending status.  Buyers are out looking for deals as interest rates are rock bottom at 4.65 % on 30 year fixed.

It’s hot out so enjoy all things out doors-fishing,waterskiing, boating and golf. Moses Lake is a great place to live with over 300 days of sunshine every year.

In 2007 homes sold YTD totaled 268; 2008 – 201; number of homes sold YTD is now 53% higher than the same time last year due primarily to the tax credit incentive and rock bottom interest rates.

Average time on market for sold homes decreased by 22 days or 18%.  This decrease was due to a rush to close by 6/30/10 which was then extended to 9/30/10.
